These were the first two modern private hospitals built in Ireland since the original Blackrock Clinic.  Simon Clear & Associates completed the masterplanning, EIS and plannning applications on sensitive out-of-town sites located at the entrance to the metropolitan areas for the Western Medical Clinic in Galway and the Hermitage Clinic, Lucan, Co. Dublin.  Permissions were granted on appeal, constructed and are operational.
