Planning permission was granted by Kildare County Council for the Leinster Driving Campus at Taghadoe, Maynooth, Co. Kildare, for Ireland's first purpose-built closed road driver education centre on a site of 3.44ha, c. 2Km south of the M4 motorway interchange at Maynooth.  Construction has been completed and the campus opened in 2008.
